2023 William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship Program

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY #: SFOP0008706

Q: I am writing to ask for clarification on requirement described on page 9 of the William D. Clarke Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship NOFO. According to the text of the NOFO recipients must “Establish and maintain relationships with Student Accounts Offices at each fellow’s educational institution and make timely payment of tuition and other fees up to the established cap limit. Prior to disbursement of any Fellowship funds, Recipient coordinates with GTM/TAC to ensure the fellow has met all necessary requirements.”

Will the eight fellowship recipients will be attending the institution of their choice, or will fellows be expected to attend programs at the recipient institution only?

Response: The Clarke DS Fellows may attend the educational institution of their choice as long as the graduate degree program meets the requirements and timeline of the fellowship program. Fellows are not required or expected to attend graduate school at the recipient’s institution.
