Building Capacity to Counter Violent Extremism in Mozambique: Q and A
Question 1. Are we obligated to provide the names of specific CSOs in our proposal or can we decide on these at a later date?
Response: You are not required to provide the names of specific CSOs in your proposal. However, the identification of CSOs in advance will make for a more competitive proposal.
Question 2. I also wanted to check how much at the proposal writing phase are we to put emphasis on finding other donors who may be able to lend support after the project is completed?
Response: Per the NOFO, the review panel will be applying criteria related to sustainability when rating proposals. One of those criteria is “reference other donors who may be able to lend support after the end of the life of the project.” Therefore, proposals should demonstrate a knowledge of opportunities for the program to continue, and other donors may play a role. It should be noted that identifying donors is not the sole criteria under sustainability.
