About this file
This is a Question and Answer Addendum dated December 19, 2024, issued by the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) for an Attending Physician Services Request for Proposals at the Minnesota Veterans Home - Silver Bay. The document addresses questions from potential responders regarding a new solicitation that has been opened because the current contract has reached its five-year maximum term.
The addendum reveals that Lakeview Memorial Hospital is the incumbent provider, though specific billing rates are only available through a formal data request process. The MDVA is not disclosing budget information for this contract. The document clarifies that subcontracting is mandatory for this opportunity, and there is no minimum number of hours required for the service.

Question and Answer Addendum
12/19/2024
Questions from potential responders and answers from the MDVA.
1. Question: Is this a new contract or renewal of an existing contract?
Answer: We currently contract for these services and the contract has reached its five-year maximum contract term. Because of this, MDVA has opened a solicitation for services.
2. Question: If there is an existing contract, could you please share the names of the current vendors and their pricing?
Answer: The incumbent is Lakeview Memorial Hospital. Specific billing rates can be obtained by submitting a data request to legal.mdva@state.mn.us; however, please note that there is a high likelihood the data request may not be fulfilled by the time this solicitation closes.
3. Question: What is the estimated budget for this contract?
Answer: MDVA is not releasing budget information at this this time.
4. Question: Is it mandatory to subcontract?
Answer: Yes.
5. Question: Is there a minimum number of hours required for the service?
Answer: No.
