About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a school district custodial and grounds maintenance services contract. The file details current staffing levels across multiple school facilities, including Bertha Neal Elementary, Robert Kerr Elementary, Railroader Athletic Center, Durand Middle School, Durand Area High School, and the Administration Office, with a total of 14 current staff members working first and second shifts. The document addresses various operational details such as weekend service needs, equipment provisions, work schedules, and specific responsibilities of the potential contractor.

The school district indicates that they will provide most equipment, tools, and supplies for grounds maintenance, including snow removal equipment, vehicles for mail delivery, and existing cleaning equipment like vacuums, floor scrubbers, and custodial carts. They currently operate on a 5-day work week with additional weekend coverage for events, and perform deep cleaning during school breaks and summer. No performance bond or bid bond is required for this contract, and the district will handle specific tasks like gym floor refinishing. The document suggests the district is seeking a comprehensive maintenance service that can flexibly adapt to their changing event schedules and specific facility needs.
