About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details the replacement of an end-of-life Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system for the Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) La Jolla Laboratory. The project requires replacing an existing Eaton 9390-80kVA UPS unit located in the data center on the fourth floor, with a like-for-like or equivalent replacement that maintains the current electrical specifications (480/277V, three-phase, 80kVA, 72kW). The contractor must ensure minimal disruption to critical operations, provide engineered drawings within 14 calendar days after award, integrate with the existing "Cell Watch System" for battery monitoring, and deliver operator training after completion.

The contract is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed-Price for one base year, with a period of performance of 180 days from the award date. Key deliverables include engineered drawings, a manufacturer startup report, operation and maintenance manuals, progress reports, and required certifications. The work will be performed during normal duty hours (Monday-Friday, 6AM-4PM) at the SWFSC facility located at 8901 La Jolla Shores Drive, La Jolla, CA. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment, materials, and services, with the government furnishing only visitor badges for facility access.
