About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for linen and laundry services to be provided to the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. The document outlines the operational requirements for managing laundry operations, including the collection, processing, and delivery of clean linens to support hospital functions. Key service requirements encompass daily laundry processing with specified turnaround times, maintenance of inventory levels, quality control standards for fabric integrity and sanitation, and compliance with healthcare industry standards for infection control and safety protocols.
The contractor must provide staffing, equipment, supplies, and facility management necessary to operate an on-site or off-site laundry operation capable of processing various linen types including bed linens, uniforms, towels, and surgical materials. Performance metrics address delivery schedules, linen loss and damage rates, sorting accuracy, and response protocols for emergency situations. The PWS specifies technical requirements for washing, drying, and pressing operations, along with documentation and record-keeping obligations. The service is subject to VA oversight, periodic inspections, and adherence to federal regulations governing healthcare-related laundry operations. This requirement supports the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 and is related to solicitation amendment 36C25026Q0924.
