All work deliverables will be inspected and accepted by VA personnel prior to final contract acceptance.

PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)

1) Contract Title: Smoke and Fire Damper Inspection

2) Background: Inspect all smoke and fire dampers on HVAC systems in buildings 302, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350 and 410 for proper operation and condition.

3) Scope:

Contractor shall provide an inspection report for all inspections on smoke and fire dampers in buildings 302, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350 and 410 at the Dayton VA Medical Center.

4) Specific Tasks

Inspection is to include removal and inspection of fusible links, manual operation of dampers to ensure proper performance, and replacement of links as needed. Any defects discovered during the inspection will be noted and brought to the attention of the HVAC shop in the Engineering Department. Contractor shall supply replacement links as needed.

There are approximately 160 smoke dampers, 103 combination dampers and 347 fire dampers. A detailed report will be provided to the DVAMC HVAC shop after all inspections are completed.

Performance Monitoring All work will be inspected by VA personnel before acceptance.

5) Security Requirements

The C&A requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required.
