About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for repair and calibration services of an EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) detector located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, effective 16 June 2026.
The contractor shall provide all parts, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to remove, repair, and reinstall the EDS detector for the UltimMAX 100 system located in Building 1169 at Eglin AFB, FL. Following reinstallation, the contractor must calibrate the UltimMAX 100 and ensure it operates within performance specifications while maintaining integration with the Hitachi NX9000 SEM. All removal, reinstallation, and calibration work must be conducted at Eglin AFB by qualified personnel, although the actual repair of the EDS detector may be completed at the contractor's facility. The contractor is responsible for ensuring the repaired detector meets Original Equipment Manufacturer performance requirements and that resulting data is reliable and accurate.
The estimated workload consists of three tasks: EDS detector removal (8 hours), EDS reinstallation (6 hours), and UltimMAX 100 calibrations (2 hours), for a total of approximately 16 hours. No government-furnished property or services are identified. The performance objectives require the repaired EDS detector to operate within specifications and the calibrated UltimMAX 100 system to produce reliable and accurate data.
