About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details the Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio's (NAMRU-SA) requirements for on-site calibration of pipettes. The vendor will be responsible for annually calibrating up to 200 single-channel, 26 multi-channel (12), and 20 multi-channel (8) pipettes, with specific requirements including ISO/IEC 17025:2022 accreditation, planned maintenance (PM), and comprehensive calibration services. The calibration process involves cleaning pistons, re-greasing, replacing seals and O-rings, inspecting equipment, and ensuring smooth operation, with test equipment requiring NIST traceability.
The contract period is a 12-month base period with three additional 12-month options. Upon completion, the vendor must provide a hard or electronic calibration/service report for each unit within 30 days and affix a PM sticker on each pipette indicating calibration and next due date. The service will be performed at NAMRU-SA's location in JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX, with the vendor needing access to the federal installation. Successful vendors must meet specific certification guidelines, including ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and the ability to provide comprehensive pipette calibration and maintenance services.
