About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines requirements for the Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command's Naval Ophthalmic Readiness Activity (NORA) Yorktown to acquire two pieces of optical equipment: a lens mapping machine and a final inspection system. The lens mapper will analyze and inspect digital prescription lens designs during production, visually mapping process errors to ensure proper lens cutting, while the final inspection system (required for 6 inspectors) will verify prescriptions meet ANSI standards with a pass/fail signal.

The contractor must deliver, install, and provide training for both systems within 6 months of contract award. The vendor is responsible for installation, setup, and training on both devices, and must maintain the systems under the annual DOFEMS maintenance contract once approved. All vendor employees must be U.S. citizens and pass background checks for base access. Travel expenses for delivery, testing, and training will be reimbursed at actual cost. The Defense Health Agency (DHA) will provide necessary equipment and data center support for the virtual system implementation.
