Requirements Document For 704th Test Group/846th Test Squadron
19 April 2024
1.0 PURPOSE
The 846 Test Squadron’s primary test capability is the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) where rocket powered sled trains are utilized to simulate flight-like environments and scenarios with the control and recovery of a ground-based system. To collect data from these systems, a wide variety of materials are essential for fabricating these test sleds. The materials listed in Section 2 are required by our engineering staff to be able to withstand the dynamic loads and g-forces imparted on our test sleds. For test mission validation of various payloads, and equipment for the Department of Defense in conjunction with its partners over a few differing rocket sled configurations.
