About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details requirements for customs broker services for United States Government cargo in Australia, specifically at Richmond RAAF and Alice Springs. The non-personnel services contract requires a contractor to manage customs clearance processes, including completing entries in the Integrated Cargo System (ICS), providing advance notifications to Australian Border Force (ABF) and Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), and facilitating all associated documentation for imported and exported goods.
Key service requirements include 24/7 availability via telephone/email, completing customs clearance within 24 hours of receiving required information, providing daily customs pre-clearance status updates, and supporting approximately 8 customs transactions per month (4 each at Richmond and Alice Springs). The contractor must comply with Australian tariff and customs laws, safeguard government equipment and information, and be prepared to support additional transactions and potentially different arrival/departure locations. The sources sought notice indicates the opportunity is a pre-solicitation for large and small businesses, with response submissions due by 12:00 PM CST on March 19, 2025, to Air Force contracting personnel.
