1.6 BACKGROUND:
Mid-South Consolidated Mail Order Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) 764 currently is non-compliant with VHA Directive 1028 Facility Electrical Power Systems, Joint Commission Accreditation Environment of Care EC.02.05.07 EP’s 5 through 10, and NFPA 110 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems. The intent of this procurement is to acquire services for a base plus four service agreement. VA staff are unavailable to perform the work, technical expertise within VA in-house staff are unavailable to support the equipment, and the specialized equipment needed for compliance mandates contracted services.
The VA Murfreesboro Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) processes high volume, mail prescription workloads using integrated, automated dispensing systems from seven locations to eligible Veterans throughout the United States. Murfreesboro CMOP has a reoccurring requirement for Generator Maintenance.
Murfreesboro CMOP requires this service in the event of a commercial power outage and to perform regular maintenance on their generators. The resulting contract for this solicitation will be a firm fixed price contract for a duration of a base year with options.
