About this file

This is a Purchase Description document that specifies technical requirements and quantities for accelerometer sensors and related accessories.

The procurement requires three tri-axial accelerometer models: Model 7533A7-05 (±40g amplitude range, 20 mV/g sensitivity, 0-1500 Hz frequency range, operating temperature -40 to 257°F, 6 grams, integrated 6-wire cable 5 feet long) in quantity 10; Model 7603D5 (±50g amplitude range, 10 mV/g sensitivity, 0-2000 Hz frequency range, operating temperature -67 to 257°F, 38 grams, 4-pin M4.5 connector) in quantity 10; and Model 7603D7 (±200g amplitude range, 2.50 mV/g sensitivity, 0-3000 Hz frequency range, operating temperature -67 to 257°F, 38 grams, 4-pin M4.5 connector) in quantity 20. All accelerometers feature hermetically sealed construction with signal/ground isolated electrical configuration, variable capacitance technology with zero low-end frequency response, and a 5000g shock limit. The 7600 Series requires 3-11 Vdc excitation voltage while the 7500 Series requires 4-28 Vdc. Calibration certificates (physical copy and electronic data file) are required for each sensor. The procurement also includes cable assemblies (9-pin jack to pigtail in 30-foot, 50-foot, and 100-foot lengths in quantities 11, 20, and 10 respectively) and 30 adhesive mounting bases (aluminum anodized orange with specified tapped holes).

Purchase Description

Technical Information

The accelerometer is a device that senses motion. The requirements for this purchase order are for accelerometers that sense motion in only one axis, a uniaxial accelerometer, and accelerometers packages that sense motion in 3 axes, a tri-axial accelerometer. The sensor converts movement to an electrical signal proportional to the acceleration of the movement. The models requested use variable capacitance technology to achieve a low-end frequency response of zero (0). There are three different models and measurement ranges specified for different applications.
