About this file

This Purchase Description outlines the U.S. Army Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Activity's (USATA) requirement to procure a Torque Calibration System for life-cycle replacement at Redstone Arsenal. The system must have a maximum measurement capability of 50K lbf-in, utilize data acquisition software for calibration reports, provide automated servo-controlled hydraulic operation, and include custom calibration adapters for Lebow model 2351-102 36K lb-in torque cells.

Key specifications include a NIST traceable 50K lbf-in transfer standard torque cell, on-site installation and training, and an uncertainty of 0.1% or better at 95% confidence level. The system must perform calibrations in both clockwise (compression) and counterclockwise (tension) modes. Delivery is specified to U.S. Army TMDE Activity, Attn: Bradford Suggs, Building 5435 Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898. The procurement is part of a market research effort to identify potential sources for this specialized equipment.
