About this file

This is a Purchase Description for twenty (20) Raider 65 HP Multi-Fuel Outboard Motors designed for tactical military amphibious, littoral, and riverine operations on Wing P4.7 inflatable craft. The motors must meet strict performance and physical specifications including 65 horsepower rated at the propeller shaft, true multi-fuel capability to operate reliably on JP-5, JP-8, Jet-A, F24, Diesel, and standard unleaded gasoline without manual modifications, and full submersibility with post-submersion de-watering capability allowing restart within five minutes. The motors must feature a heavy-duty manual recoil start system with optional electric start, a 2-stroke inline 3-cylinder configuration, maximum dry weight of 178 lbs for two-man crew portability, 20-inch long shaft compatible with military CRRC transoms, ergonomic tiller control with integrated throttle and shift controls, manual tilt with shallow-water drive positions, and a heavy-duty stainless steel or composite 3-blade tactical propeller with hub exhaust. Air deployability from fixed and rotary wing aircraft is required.

Each motor must be delivered with a 6-gallon heavy-duty tactical fuel bladder or rigid tank with quick-disconnect fuel line, a submersion/de-watering tool kit containing spark plug wrench and cylinder purge kit, and operator and maintenance manuals in both digital and hard copy formats. All units must qualify for national security and military EPA exemptions due to multi-fuel operating requirements and must be factory-run and tested prior to shipping.
