About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC). FDC is seeking to purchase an annual maintenance contract for its existing AiM Software, including product updates, enhancements, and unlimited phone and email support. The software is used statewide for the department's preventative maintenance and corrective work order program, tracking 1,600 users. The intended single source is AssetWorks Inc., the sole developer and licensed distributor of the AiM Suite products. The contract term is for three years at an estimated cost of $87,832.34. The deadline for vendors to provide information about their ability to supply the required services is May 31, 2023.

The justification for the single-source acquisition is that AssetWorks Inc. holds the exclusive rights to the AiM Suite products and does not distribute or make the software available to any third parties for resale or maintenance. As a result, FDC cannot obtain the required maintenance services from any other vendor, and AssetWorks Inc. is the only source that can meet the department's needs at this time.
