About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for a marketing partnership with The Fresh Market, Inc. The agency seeks to procure promotional advertising services for the "Fresh from Florida" brand through a grocery retailer marketing partnership. The services include promotional sales emails, in-store signage featuring the "Fresh from Florida" logo, advertorials in The Fresh Market's monthly magazine highlighting Florida commodities, digital advertisements through The Fresh Market's mobile app, and promotions featuring Florida products for the retailer's loyalty club program. The posting date is August 24, 2026, with a deadline for prospective vendors to submit information regarding their ability to supply the commodities or services by September 15, 2026. The contract is scheduled for execution on June 30, 2027. This single source acquisition is justified based on The Fresh Market's unique capabilities as the only known vendor able to execute all five marketing components across its 170+ stores in 22 states.

The estimated contract amount ranges from approximately $60,000 to $100,000. The Department is authorized under Section 570, Florida Statutes, to promote agricultural products through advertising via promotions, print, television, and digital media, with all promotional use of the "Fresh from Florida" logo subject to department rules and coordination through authorized partners. The Fresh Market was rated "Best Grocery Store in America" by USA Today in 2025 and specializes in fresh produce, hand-trimmed meats, fresh-cut flowers, and international products. Prospective vendors may challenge the single source determination by providing relevant information to the contact person, Brittany Harvey, at Procurement@FDACS.gov or (850) 617-7181 by the September 15, 2026 deadline.
