About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR7776) from the Florida Department of State. The agency is seeking to acquire a High Resolution Imaging System, specifically a Digital Transitions DT Atom System, including a V-cradle, lighting, stands, and other required system elements, as well as installation and training, for the purpose of digitizing and providing web accessibility to unique historical records. The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $39,930.00, covering the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The intended single source is Digital Transitions, Inc., as they are the only North American source for the required system.

The justification for the single-source acquisition is that the DT Atom System is necessary and unique to meet the mission of the State Library of Florida to maintain, preserve, and provide access to the state's historical records. The Division of Library Information Services, along with the Supervisor of Acquisitions and Circulation, the Bureau Chief, the Director, the Purchasing Manager, and the Director of Administrative Services have approved this single-source procurement.
