About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT is seeking a 5-year subscription to store pavement data, including Pavement Condition Surveys (PCS) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data, which requires the ability to store 27,500 miles of roadway data, approximately 137.5 terabytes per year. The intended source for this single source acquisition is iXsystems, Inc., the author, developer, and sole provider of the TrueNAS Open Source storage operating system and appliance, which is the only known application that offers an Enterprise, highly-available, fully supported storage system built on OpenZFS available as a subscription model.

The estimated dollar amount for this contract is $324,890.00. FDOT has determined that iXsystems, Inc. is the only available source for the required data storage solution, as TrueNAS is unique to iXsystems, Inc. and is only available directly from the company.
