About this file
The document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Financial Services for the Florida State Fire College, seeking maintenance and services for building automation and central monitoring systems from Siemens Industry, Inc. The contract covers preventative maintenance for mechanical equipment and boiler systems, including comprehensive software and firmware coverage, with a 36-month term from the contract start date. The procurement involves routine inspections and servicing of two boilers, two chillers, ten air handlers, four circulating pumps, and numerous valves and actuators, with a posted date of 6/5/2025 and a last day for receipt of information on 6/25/2025.
The estimated contract value is $204,425.43, with Siemens being the sole source vendor due to their original manufacture and installation of the existing building automation systems. The justification for single-source procurement stems from the proprietary nature of Siemens' software and firmware, which makes them the only vendor capable of repairing and maintaining the current systems. The contract is critical for the daily operations and security of the Fire College, and has been approved by multiple officials from the Division of State Fire Marshal, Office of Purchasing and Contractual Services, and senior leadership. The document invites prospective vendors to provide information about their ability to supply the described services, with the agency reserving the right to confirm the single-source status.
