About this file
This is a single source purchase notification (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announcing its intent to enter into an agreement with Walmart Connect (Walmart, Inc.) for promotional advertising services. The department seeks to purchase promotional advertising for the "Fresh From Florida" brand through Walmart's grocery retailer partnership, including authorized use of the "Fresh From Florida" logo across Walmart's circular advertisements and ad placements, in-store signage and displays to identify Florida products, and digital promotions on Walmart's website and social media platforms. The promotional activities will encompass coordinated in-store promotions across all individual Walmart store locations, planned product demonstrations in Walmart stores nationwide, digital advertisements on deli and bakery department display screens, category-specific and seasonal in-store events, in-store audio advertisements, and website and social media advertisements on vendor official accounts. The procurement was posted on September 17, 2026, with the last day for receipt of information from prospective vendors set for October 8, 2026. The contract execution date is scheduled for June 30, 2027.
The estimated contract amount is approximately $800,000, with a maximum contract amount of $850,000. The single source justification emphasizes that Walmart Connect is the only known source able to promote and advertise directly within Walmart Inc. stores and represents the closed loop omnichannel media business of Walmart Inc., providing access to over 150 million U.S. customers weekly. The procurement is authorized under Section 570, Florida Statutes, which grants the Department authority to promote agricultural products through various media channels including promotions, print, television, and digital media. All promotional use of the "Fresh From Florida" logo must comply with department rules and be coordinated through authorized partners. The contact for this procurement is Stephanie Bergozza, Purchasing Director II, Division of Administration, at (850) 617-7181 or Procurement@FDACS.gov.
