About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) form issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for promotional sponsorship services. The FDACS Division of Marketing and Development seeks to procure "Fresh From Florida" brand sponsorship through South Beach Seafood Festival, Inc. The sponsorship will provide promotional advertising featuring the "Fresh From Florida" logo across various marketing assets including signage, web advertisements, and social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and promote retail sales of the department's agricultural products. The notice was posted on August 10, 2026, with a deadline for prospective vendors to submit information regarding their ability to supply these services by August 31, 2026. The contract execution date is set for June 30, 2027.

The estimated contract amount ranges from approximately $50,000 to $75,000. South Beach Seafood Festival, Inc. is identified as the sole source vendor due to its exclusive ownership of the event's branding assets, including licensing, naming rights, and trademarked materials, which cannot be legally authorized by any other vendor. The justification for single source procurement is that no competitor can provide access to the South Beach Seafood Festival's proprietary promotional platforms and branded materials. The purchase is authorized under Florida Statutes Sections 570.53(3) and 570.07(20), which require the department to stimulate agricultural product consumption and conduct marketing activities to promote Florida agricultural products. The procurement was approved by multiple FDACS officials including the Director of the Division of Marketing and Development, the Chief of the Bureau of Seafood & Agriculture Marketing, and the Purchasing Director II.
