About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for agricultural machinery for soil preparation. Specifically, FDACS is seeking to purchase the Model FDH-18 FESCO Hydraulic Hinge Harrow 11" spacing tapered roller bearing assembly 26" X 5/16" disc from Oliver and Dahlman Equipment Company, Inc. The intended purchase is for use by the Florida Forest Service to maintain and establish fire lines to aid in the prevention and spread of prescribed burns or wildfires, as outlined in Sections 589.04 and 590.02 of the Florida Statutes. The estimated contract amount is up to $43,100, with a term from the date of execution through June 30, 2025.

The justification for the single source acquisition is that Oliver and Dahlman Equipment Company, Inc. is the only known manufacturer of the specific equipment model required by FDACS. The purchase has been approved by David Sechrist, Forest Area Supervisor, Andy Lamborn, District Manager, Stephanie Bergozza, Purchasing Director II, and Joey B. Hicks, Director of the Division of Administration.
