About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for the Metro Ontario marketing program. The procurement seeks marketing services for the "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program, with a contract term from execution through June 30, 2026. The solicitation was posted on June 16, 2025, with a response deadline of July 9, 2025, and covers brand promotion and sales activities using UNSPSC codes 80171702 and 80141600. The program aims to promote Florida agricultural products through various marketing channels including circular advertisements, in-store promotions, magazines, television, and social media advertising.

Metro Ontario is identified as the sole source vendor, capable of executing specific marketing activities across its supermarket brands (Metro and Food Basics) in Ontario, Canada. The estimated contract amount is approximately $60,000, with a maximum potential spend of up to $100,000. The vendor must be a non-paid member of the "Fresh From Florida" Industry Membership program. The justification for single-source procurement includes Metro Ontario's unique ability to plan and execute weekly online sale flyers, distribute in-store signage, coordinate in-store promotions, create vendor-specific publications, and manage social media posts across its supermarket network. The procurement is authorized under Florida Statute 571.2 to promote Florida agricultural commodities and related businesses.
