About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for a security and alarm system installation at the Northeast Region Ocala Office Complex. The document details a one-year contract for installing and maintaining a security badge/alarm system across multiple buildings including the Ocala Main Office, Hangar Building, Withlacoochee Building, Annex Building, and a fenced area. The procurement is scheduled to be posted from 05/08/2025 to 05/30/2025, with the system requiring door swipes, gates, controllers, and monitoring that integrate with the existing Georgia-Florida Burglar Alarm Company system used at FWC's Tallahassee Headquarters.

The estimated total contract value is $58,049.00, broken down as $41,193.00 for product and $16,856.00 for installation. The justification for a single-source acquisition is the need to maintain connectivity with other FWC facilities and ensure consistent security infrastructure. Georgia-Florida Burglar Alarm Company is the sole proposed vendor, as they have previously installed and currently maintain security systems across FWC facilities. The system is proprietary, and only this company can provide the necessary continual and connective service. The document includes approvals from multiple FWC leadership positions, including Regional Operations Manager, Regional Directors, Chief Information Officer, Budget Services Section Leader, Chief of Staff, and Purchasing leadership.
