About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) / Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI). It seeks single-source procurement for maintenance and support services for the agency's EOS-OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) web application, including web e-Library licensing, additional software instances, reporting, classification management, SSL encryption, and storage upgrades. The contract term is 3 years, from November 16, 2024, to November 15, 2027. The estimated dollar amount is $60,000.00. The intended single source is Sirsi Corporation dba SirsiDynix, as the EOS product is proprietary and requires their maintenance and support.

The justification for single-source procurement is that the agency's catalog records are formatted in EOS's proprietary format, and converting to a different library software package would result in data loss and require extensive training. Sirsi Corporation dba SirsiDynix is the only source for maintenance and support of this proprietary EOS product due to the custom components programmed to address the agency's specific requirements.
