About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Division of Marketing and Development. The agency intends to procure promotional advertising services from Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) for the "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program. The services include planning, drafting, and publishing weekly online sale flyers featuring Florida agricultural products; designing, printing, and distributing in-store signage to AWG locations; coordinating in-store promotions across all AWG stores; planning and publishing vendor-specific publications for in-store and mail distribution to customers; and planning and publishing social media content on AWG official social media accounts. The contract term extends from the date of execution through June 30, 2027. The deadline for prospective vendors to submit information regarding their ability to provide these services is October 2, 2026, with the notice posted on September 11, 2026, for a minimum 15-business-day advertisement period.

The estimated contract amount is approximately $70,000, with an approximate cap of $100,000. AWG is identified as the sole known source capable of performing these services due to its operational structure, ability to coordinate activities across multiple locations, and existing relationship with Florida retail markets. The justification for single-source procurement emphasizes that only AWG has the integrated capability to manage flyer creation, in-store signage distribution, promotional coordination across all locations, vendor-specific publication planning, and social media management. Prospective vendors may submit information to Edward Rondeau at the contact address provided; the agency will review any submitted information and provide written notice of its final determination regarding the single-source decision in accordance with Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes.
