About this file
This is a specification document from the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, Hawaii District for refuse collection services in the North Kona District. The project involves the removal of approximately 16-20 medium-sized kiawe trees located on the south side of Puako Boat Ramp that were uprooted and felled by Hurricane Lala. The vendor is responsible for providing all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to safely cut, remove, load, transport, and haul all resulting tree material and debris to an approved transfer station or disposal facility. The vendor must maintain a safe and unobstructed walking path along the designated walking trail throughout the project duration and maintain a clean, orderly work area free of debris at the end of each workday and upon project completion. Work must be performed in a manner that protects public safety, existing facilities, vehicles, and surrounding residential property. Upon completion, the vendor must participate in a final walk-through with the Hawaii District Building Maintenance Supervisor I, Jewel Apana, to verify compliance with specifications, and any identified deficiencies must be corrected prior to final acceptance.
The specification document does not include pricing terms, contract term duration, response deadlines, or bid submission dates. Required vendor documentation includes a current Certificate of Insurance, signed W-9 form, and a blank invoice statement with remit-to address. No information regarding set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or contract renewal options is provided in the specification document.
