About this file
This is Addendum #2 from the Morgan County Board of Commissioners for the PSC HVAC Units replacement project, dated December 23, 2024. The addendum removes RTU #20 from the bid packet due to emergency repairs and addresses several contractor questions regarding crane setup, GFI receptacles, and unit installations. The bid opening is scheduled for January 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the BOC Meeting Room at 150 E. Washington St. Madison, GA 30650.
The project must be executed in phases due to operational and funding constraints. The units service inmate housing facilities, requiring that no unit be offline for more than 8 hours, and units #20, #22, and #26 cannot be offline simultaneously. Depending on pricing, some work may be deferred to July 2025. All replacement units must match existing components, including GFI receptacles and economizers where present. Contractors having difficulty with Johnson Control model/serial numbers are directed to contact Johnson Controls directly for assistance.

PSC HVAC UNITS ADDENDUM # 2
December 23, 2024
1. Due to an emergency repair to RTU #20, it is being removed from this bid packet.
2. Below are the responses to questions that have been submitted:
a. May the crane be set up in front of the building?
Yes
b. Can the crane supplier be permitted to leave their equipment overnight?
Yes
c. The existing RTU'S have unit powered GFI receptacles do you want the new units to have GFI on them?
Yes, units should be replaced with identical components.
d. We are having trouble deciphering the nomenclature of the existing Johnson Control model/serial numbers.
I would suggest contacting Johnson Controls for assistance.
e. Can we submit a price installing these 6 all on the same day?
The RFP is broken into phases due to operational and funding concerns. Operational concerns are that most of the units service inmate housing units. Accordingly, no unit can be offline for more than 8 hours. Additionally, units #20, #22 and #26 cannot be offline at the same time. Depending on pricing, part of the project may be deferred to July 2025.
f. There is no mention of economizers on the existing units, however we believe the existing units are equipped with economizers.
If the current unit has an economizer, the replacement unit should as well. The units should be replaced with identical components.
3. For clarification bid opening will be Friday January 10, 2025, at BOC Meeting
Room, 2nd Floor, 150 E. Washington St. Madison, GA 30650 at 10:00a.m.
