About this file

This document is a proposed budget letter from the American Lung Association to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare for a sole source contract to provide tobacco and vaping intervention and cessation programs to 20 schools in Idaho, including at least 10 rural schools, during the 2023-2024 school year. The budget covers the training, implementation, and technical assistance needed to provide the INDEPTH and N-O-T programs, as well as robust evaluation of the program results by an independent contractor.

The total proposed budget is $124,085.77, which includes $77,225.40 in direct expenses and $26,179.41 in overhead costs. The expenses cover salaries, benefits, facilitator training, printed curriculum, student incentives, and program support. The budget also includes $20,680.96 for program evaluation by an independent contractor. The sole source authorization is being pursued by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, and any interested vendor may file a challenge to the procurement within five business days.
