CIO CERTIFICATION
By subming this project plan, I cerfy that my CIO currently does not maintain a comparable NOFO related to this proposed CBA project. I understand my CIO is responsible for adhering to all applicable scienfic policies and securing requisite clearances in the Scienfic Tracking and Reporng System (STARS). I will discuss the project with my Associate Director for Science (ADS) and obtain the appropriate scienfic clearances prior to iniang project acvies that involve the collecon, generaon, or analysis of public health data.

Recipient must play a crical role in the naons' preparedness for, response to, and recovery from large scale public health emergencies like the current historic COVID-19 pandemic. Recipient must have the capacity to provide methods for state and territorial health departments to idenfy recovery resources across a variety of sectors to advance efforts to create healthier, more resilient communies at the local level post COVID-19.
The recipient is an experienced naonal organizaon and leaders in advancing contact tracing for COVID-19 through training, connuous learning and engagement with academic and public health partners to advance leadership for contact tracing workforce development and implementaon consideraons for emerging technological soluons. Building upon exisng contact tracing coursework could include target groups of public health partners such as call center staff, employers, school-based personnel and data provisioners. Facilitates a naonal contact training collaboraon which includes robust representaon from federal, academic, and public health organizaons across the country. The recipient is a leader among state and territorial health organizaons that can coordinate across states and territories to address organizaonal, policy and administrave aspects to address evolving pandemic issues.
The recipient will leverage its collaborave relaonships and work closely with other naonal organizaons to align priories at every level of COVID-19 response. The recipient will also have the capability to work collaboravely with other organizaons to improve coordinaon of COVID-19 response acvies between state, tribal, local, and territorial jurisdicons through a broader more integrated approach. Addionally, collaboraon between the funded recipient and CDC's Technical Monitor will occur throughout the project lifecycle to inform communicaon and informaon needs.
The recipient may subcontract with other organizaons to complete project acvies.
The recipient will not be directed to subcontract with a specific organizaon.
Personnel, fringe, equipment, supplies, contracts, etc. are allowable costs under this award. Research, clinical care are unallowable. Recipient should seek approval from TM for new costs.
Recipient proposals should be scalable. If less funds are available, CDC and recipient will work together to revise and further priorize acvies in the workplan.
Recipient is expected to spend down the funding received within the budget period.
