Specifications NOMENCLATURE: X-Ray Diagnostic System The minimum essential physical, functional and performance characteristics for a new X-Ray Diagnostic System are:

· Must be able to measure and display radiation exposure in units of roentgen and radiation dose in units of gray (and appropriate subunits).

· Must measure and display dose (exposure) rate with a visual indicator that measurement is occurring. The measurement interval over which the dose is measured and displayed shall be between 0.3 and 5 seconds.

· Must have a mode to be able to measure and display maximum dose rate, if the measured rate is greater than the displayed value.

· Must be able to manually start dose measurements commonly called “dose accumulate and hold” and display the result.

· Must be able to automatically measure and display the dose and duration of a single exposure (“auto dose”).

· Must be able to be use both ion chambers and solid state dose sensors.

· Must include a carrying case.

· Must include a folding test stand and positioners for the ion chambers.

· Must provide automatic corrections for temperature, pressure, and chamber calibration when using ion chambers.

· Over ion chamber accuracy must be ± 5% under reference conditions.

· Unit must include a minimum one-year parts and labor warranty.

· For ion chambers, there must be at least one universal chamber holder.

· Must include 1 maintenance manual at no cost.

· Must have 1 year warranty included.

· Must have 1 year phone assist included

· Must include the delivery charges.

· Must include at multiple ion chambers to meet different system specifications.

· Must include a high dose-rate chamber with minimum specifications: rate range of 50 μR/s - 720 R/s500 and nGy/s - 6.31 Gy/s, exposure range of 200 μR - 2 MR2 μGy - 17 kGy.

· Must include a general purpose in beam chamber with minimum rate specifications of 2 μR/s - 17 R/s 20 nGy/s - 149 mGy/s, exposure specifications 10 μR - 59 kR, 100 nGy - 516 Gy, cine specifications: 0.1 μR/f - 1 R/f, 1 nGy/fr - 10 mGy/f, auto dose threshold 2 mR/s, 19 μGy/s.
