About this file

This is a 2024 price sheet issued on November 13, 2023, by Safety Turf, Inc. and Fall Zone, Inc. for the Corkeen Surfacing System playground safety surface product. The document establishes manufacturer's suggested retail pricing (MSRP) for this specialized safety surfacing material.

The pricing structure is based on three variables: fall height capability (5', 7', or 8' feet), material thickness (55mm/2", 85mm/3.346", or 120mm/4.724"), and project size. Per-square-foot pricing ranges from $28.60 to $47.78, with volume discounts applied across four project size tiers: 200–500 SF, 500–1500 SF, over 1500 SF, with pricing decreasing as project size increases. For example, the 5-foot fall height with 55mm thickness ranges from $31.20 per square foot for smaller projects to $28.60 per square foot for projects exceeding 1500 SF. All fall heights were determined using ASTM F 1292-22 standard testing by TUV SUD America, Inc. The document notes that on-site testing per ASTM F 1292 and ASTM F 3313-20 field testing procedures may yield different results than laboratory determinations, and specifies different fall height ratings depending on whether the sub-base consists of clean stone or concrete/asphalt.

* ASTM F 1292-22 Standard was used to determine these “Fall Heights” when tested by TUV SUD America, Inc.

The “Fall Height, Compacted Stone (2B-3/4” Clean Sub-Base)” was determined for the PIP System installed over a minimum of 4” deep, 2B-¾”

Clean Stone. Any other stone sub-base (e.g., modified or screenings) should use the “Concrete or Asphalt Sub-base” Fall Heights. If the surface will require a drop test per the ASTM F 3313 testing procedure, please use the surface thickness, as shown, for the concrete or asphalt sub- base.

Please Note: On-site testing of the surface per ASTM F 1292, and ASTM F3313-20 Field Testing Procedures, may determine different “Fall

Heights” than the laboratory test determination. Safety Turf, Inc. recommends that the specifier be aware of this when specifying thicknesses of the playground safety surface. Actual site conditions may vary from laboratory conditions.
