About this file

These site visit notes document a May 19, 2025 site visit for a Navy test pool repair project at NSWC-PCD. The notes record nine key questions and answers from the site visit, providing critical details about the project scope and site conditions. Contractors learned the 12-foot deep, 10-foot diameter in-ground test tank requires resurfacing, with specific constraints including maintaining a functional water pump, preserving a pool ladder, and working in temperature ranges from 32 to 100+ degrees. The site offers equipment access through an unlocked gate, includes a laydown area for storage, and is located approximately 50 yards from a base road. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside with a closing date of May 29, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. CDT. Accompanying photos show the current condition of the test pool, revealing a circular concrete tank with water, visible structural deterioration, and some surface equipment.
