NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
RE: MT FLAP BOR 2980(1)
Sun River Bridge Replacement
Solicitation No. 69056724B000016
The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Bidders in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. After November 1st , access will be weather dependent; contact the Lewis and Clark County Hwy Department for current road conditions for the Sun River Road at (406) 447-1631 and Green Field Irrigation District for the current conditions of the Dike Access Road at 406-799-4416 (Erling Juel). No Federal Highway
Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.
One Bid Schedule - The work will be solicited under one bid schedule with one Option, See the
Description of Work document for additional details.
• Schedule A consists of all base work.
• Option X consists of removal of the existing bridge.
Project Location and Type of Work - All project work is located in Helena - Lewis and Clark
National Forest.
• Sun River Bridge Replacement o Construction a new 3 span bridge on new alignment, with new approach roadways and embankment.
• Option X- Remove the exiting Sun River Bridge and decommission access roads.

Special Notice - Fall Weed Inspection May be Necessary
The upcoming contract will require unclassified borrow, select topping, and aggregate to be secured from commercial sources. These commercial sources must pass a weed inspection or a provide a weed free certification after award .
