About this file

This is a Notice to Prospective Bidders for a federal highway construction project issued by the Western Federal Lands Highway Division, U.S. Department of Transportation. The project, titled ID ERFO FS 2022-1(1), Nez Perce-Clearwater Repairs 2022-1 (Solicitation No. 69056726B000016), involves repairs to five road failure sites within the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest in Idaho. All failures resulted from excessive spring runoff causing roadway fill slope over-saturation. The work will be solicited under one bid schedule and includes repairs such as embankment restoration using mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls and special rock embankments, roadway resurfacing, drainage repairs, culvert replacement, and riprap protection across multiple milepost locations in Clearwater and Idaho counties.

Prospective bidders are encouraged to view project sites during fall 2026, as access after November 1 will be weather-dependent; no Federal Highway Administration show-me tours will be provided. Technical questions must be submitted to wfl.plansspec@dot.gov, while general inquiries should be directed to wfl.contracts@dot.gov or 360-619-7520. Solicitation documents will be available during winter 2026/2027 on SAM.gov; bidders should monitor the SAM website and utilize the "Follow" feature for automatic notifications of the solicitation release date.
