About this file

This is a Pre-Bid Conference Agenda document from Colorado Parks & Wildlife's Southeast Regional Office regarding asphalt replacement work at Trinidad Lake State Park (Project #TR-601). The pre-bid conference was scheduled for July 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinidad Lake State Park. The project involves removing and replacing asphalt in designated areas as directed by park staff, with final locations to be determined during construction. All quantities listed in bid documents are estimates and subject to adjustment based on actual conditions. Questions must be submitted in writing to Project Manager Eric Stahnke by 10:00 AM on July 27, 2016, with responses provided via final addendum. Bids are due August 2, 2016 by 1:00 PM, submitted to the Parks and Wildlife Regional Office in Colorado Springs via fax or email. A Notice of Award is intended to be issued the same day as bid opening to the lowest responsible bidder, contingent upon the bid falling within project budget. The contractor has 45 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed to complete the project, with construction not commencing before September 6, 2016 (after Labor Day), and all work must be completed by the end of 2016.

Bonding is not required for this documented quote. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control, ensuring one lane remains open at all times for park access, with traffic control costs included in the mobilization bid item. The contractor must provide all temporary utilities, water, and sanitary facilities, though water is available only from a hose bib at the park and contractor may utilize park restrooms. Construction is limited to sunrise to sunset, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise approved in writing. All excess materials, including removed asphalt and unsuitable subgrade, must be hauled off-site. Any striping removed during asphalt replacement must be re-striped at no additional charge as part of the work. Contractors must submit completed bid schedules and W-9 forms with their proposals and acknowledge receipt of any issued addendums to avoid bid rejection.
