About this file

This document summarizes the pre-bid meeting minutes for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Tree-Mendous Maryland Nursery Invitation for Bids (IFB) number K00R2600097. The IFB is seeking to procure native trees and shrubs from Maryland tree nurseries for planting on public lands in Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis through the DNR's Tree-Mendous Maryland program. The meeting covered the scope of work, bid submission instructions, and questions and answers. Quantities are estimated between 3,000-4,000 trees and shrubs per season, with spring planting being higher than fall. The contract term is for three calendar years. There are no MBE, SBR, or VSBE goals for this IFB.

Regarding pricing, vendors will provide a "wholesale price" on the bid form, which the Department will subtract from an "agreed-upon sale price" to determine the commission. The Department will receive 40% of the commission, and the contractor will retain 60%. This IFB is not associated with the State's 5 million tree initiative, which would be a separate contract.
