About this file
This is the Technical Specifications document (Attachment B) for RFP462081, which specifies a low voltage compact electron microscope system and associated equipment and services.
The solicitation requires a LVEM 25E Base System as the primary deliverable, which must be a fully self-contained and portable system featuring a Schottky type Field Emission Gun with automated alignment, integrated ion getter and turbomolecular pumps, motorized aperture and stage systems, dual 24-inch LCD monitors, ergonomic work table, toolkit, certified installation with customer-site training, and one-year standard warranty. The base system must support Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) imaging mode at 25kV with 1.0nm resolution and 1,300,000x maximum magnification using a 2048x2048 pixel 16-bit backside illuminated sCMOS detector. Additional imaging modes include Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (STEM) modes at both 15kV (1.3nm resolution, 750,000x magnification) and 10kV (1.0nm resolution, 940,000x magnification) with brightfield and dark-field capabilities, and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) mode at 15kV (4nm resolution, 750,000x magnification) with beam current measurement. Optional items include Bruker Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy with Silicon Drift Detector, additional software licenses, sample holders (standard and tilt-capable with ±20° rotation), 1500W backup power supply with approximately 43 hours of ion pump backup time, and extended warranty options. The system must fit within laboratory space constraints (width and depth less than 2.75 feet by 2.75 feet) and must have the capability to be coupled to a custom glovebox.
