The project involves refurbishing Warema Type 1.16/25/35.07 (24v motor) blinds integrated within WICONA WICLINE aluminum composite windows to restore 100% motorized functionality while preserving the thermal, acoustic, and aesthetic integrity of the window units. The contracting agency is the Department of State US Embassy Bern (Solicitation Number: PR16077115).

The contractor must provide a comprehensive turnkey solution with all-inclusive, fixed pricing that covers labor (all technician, electrician, and logistical personnel hours), materials (motors, cables, lift tapes, ladder cords, and hardware), equipment (specialized tools, window opening devices, safety gear), transportation (travel, vehicle, and freight costs), and fees (disposal, administrative costs, permits, and insurance). Work scope includes furniture management and surface protection; inspection and lubrication of WICONA hardware and gaskets; replacement of failed motors with compatible alternatives and worn mechanical components; calibration and three-cycle testing of all 104 units; integration into the building KNX control system; and Swiss-compliant waste disposal with official certificates. All electrical work must be performed by Swiss-certified electricians with strict Lockout/Tagout procedures and zero-energy verification before any wiring contact. Final deliverables include internal cleaning, a comprehensive service report listing all units and motor models used, and evidence of proper disposal through authorized Swiss recycling collection points.
