About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection for the purchase and installation of two Power Take-Off (PTO) units and hydraulic pump systems for oil and hazardous material response vehicles. The solicitation seeks complete systems including all necessary hardware, components, and installation services on two specified Ford F-350 trucks: a 2009 model with a 6.4-liter diesel engine and a 2011 model with a 6.7-liter diesel engine. Both systems must deliver a minimum hydraulic output of 13.1 GPM at 1200 engine RPM and include 30-gallon minimum capacity reservoirs with dual-circuit plumbing capabilities. The systems will power product transfer pumps, oil spill recovery equipment, and auxiliary equipment including air compressors. Bidders must submit warranty details with their proposals, and all questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted through the designated Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page.
Bid pricing should include all hardware, components, and installation costs. Each system requires dual-circuit capability with open center spool valves and speed control valves, case drain requirements, and must be delivered complete and ready to operate. Custom fabricated tanks for under-deck mounting may be necessary. The State of Maine reserves the right to pay by check, electronic funds transfer (EFT), or procurement card. State statute (9-A MRSA 8-303(2)) prohibits sellers from imposing surcharges on credit or debit card purchases. No specific response deadline, award date, or contract term information is provided in the solicitation materials.
