About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) document for a Pop-up Target System procurement by the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The contractor must deliver nineteen (19) new pop-up targets designed to mirror existing ATA "PIT" target specifications for seamless integration into current protected target berms. All target components must be exclusively battery-powered and include associated hardware, software, ancillary equipment, frames, and comprehensive training. The system requires two (2) control tablets/pads for operator use at the range tower and three (3) hand-held controllers for maintenance personnel, with all control devices being battery-powered.
The contractor must establish a dependable long-range wireless communications network (such as WiFi) providing a minimum two (2) mile range between the range tower and target placement areas, with all targets fully functional and controllable at target locations. The control software must provide accurate scoring and reporting of target hits, control of background lighting effects, selection and triggering of simulated return gunfire indication modes, and real-time reporting and monitoring of target battery power levels. Communications relays and associated network components may be solar-powered or battery-powered. Additionally, the contractor must provide upgrade options and required hardware/software to ensure compatibility and integration with existing, on-hand ATA pop-up targets and chassis.
