Text version
Official invites should be given to Foreign Nationals that are representing their country, and or government. In the case below it appears the guests will be representing the government Belgium. I would highly recommend that the visitors contact the Belgium Embassy, located in Washington D.C. for assistance in submitting a Foreign Visits System (FVS). The embassies point of contact can be located at the following URL address:
http://www.embassy.org/embassies/index.html#c
Please note: Some embassies submits visits for everyone (all citizens, students, employees, etc) and other embassies only submit visits for government officials, employees and their military. So it is entirely up to the embassy to decide if they will send out the foreign visit request.
If the servicing embassy does honor the request to submit a visit request using the Foreign Visits System, the Foreign National must provide the following information to their servicing embassy:
Name of Command/Activity visiting Purpose of Visit Anticipated discussion level Dates of visit Type of visit: One Time, Recurring, or Extended Visit The name and telephone number of the government sponsor at the Command/Activity visiting Personal information on the FN visiting the facility; Name of FN, Date, Place of Birth, and Passport information
All official request are required to be submitted no less than 30 working days prior to the first day of the proposed visit. Emergency visit request will be limited to situations in which "failure to conduct the visit will jeopardize an official government project, program, or contract." Allow one full working day to process visit request prior to the visit.
NOTE: IF THE VISIT INCLUDE VISITING ONE OF SSC PACIFIC LAB SPACE,
THE SPACE MUST BE NOTED IN THE PURPOSE OF THE VISIT
