About this file

This is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements document for Purchase Instrument Number FD20202600577-00, Version 1, generated on 14 April 2026. The document specifies packaging and marking standards for five line items being procured by the 406 SCMS/GULAA organization.

The packaging requirements are governed by MIL-STD-129 Revision R and MIL-STD-2073-1 Revision E. A primary requirement mandates that all wood packaging material (WPM)—defined as wood pallets, skids, load boards, pallet collars, wooden boxes, reels, dunnage, crates, frames, and cleats—must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes in compliance with United Nations phytosanitary standards to prevent invasive species like the pinewood nematode. All WPM must be certified and marked by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), with reference to ISPM No. 15. For the five contract line items (6110DTG2602AE, 3130016000428FD, 7125D1G2602AF, 5840D1G2602B0FD, and 5998D1G2602AD), four are designated as requiring no packaging data, while item 3130016000428FD specifies MIL-STD-2073-1 packaging at Preservation Level MIL, Packaging Level B. All items require shipping container markings in accordance with MIL-STD-129 and may include additional serial numbers, OEM names, or model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. The packaging specialist responsible for this requirement is Charles B. Davis, 406 SCMS/GULAA, dated 26 March 2026.
