About this file
This is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements document for Purchase Instrument Number FD20202600466-00, Version 1. The document specifies packaging standards for five line items under contract with the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), 406 SCMS/GULAA organization. Four items (6105DTG260245FD, 6105DTG260244FD, 6105DTG260247FD, and 6105DTG260246FD) have no specific packaging data requirements. One item (6105013068304FD) requires MIL Long Line Packaging at Preservation Level MIL with Packaging Level B, with specifications including a unit quantity of 1,000 pieces, 41 cubic inches per unit, packaged in cases of 22.00 pounds, 27.0 inches length, 10.0 inches width, and 9.3 inches depth, resulting in 1.453 cubic feet per unit.
The document establishes compliance with United Nations restrictions on wood packaging material (WPM) to prevent invasive species such as the pinewood nematode. All wooden lumber, pallets, and containers must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes, with certification and marking by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC). Additionally, items must be packaged and marked in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1 and MIL-STD-129, with shipping containers meeting military marking criteria including unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer names, and model numbers as applicable. The packaging specialist, Charles B. Davis (406 SCMS/GULAA, 801-777-4454), signed the requirements on 26 February 2026.
