About this file
This document is a detailed Packaging Requirements specification for a federal contract, specifically MIL-STD 129 Revision R and MIL-STD 2073-1 Revision E. The document provides comprehensive guidelines for wood packaging material (WPM) used in international shipments, mandating that all wooden lumber, pallets, and containers must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes. Certification by an American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) accredited agency is required, referencing the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) No. 15.
The packaging requirements cover multiple item numbers (6110DTG25056BFD, 6110016608072FD) with specific packaging instructions, including military long line packaging for certain items. Shipping containers must adhere to MIL-STD-129 marking standards and may require additional bar coding or specific markings such as unit serial numbers or original equipment manufacturer details. The document was generated by the 406 SCMS/GULAA office, with Charles B. Davis listed as the Packaging Specialist, and is dated 12 June 2025, associated with a federal contract opportunity for repair services in the JTE Program.
