About this file

This document is an instructional guide for applicants to Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) funding opportunities. The General Application Instructions (GAI) are designed to be used in conjunction with specific program announcements and serve as a companion document that provides procedural details on application preparation and submission. The program announcement itself contains the basic information about what to submit, while the GAI provides the operational guidance on how to submit applications.

Applicants must ensure version alignment between the GAI they are using and the version specified in their program announcement to maintain accurate referencing. The GAI hyperlinks are provided within the program announcement for applicant access. This introductory document does not specify response dates, award dates, award values, or other substantive program requirements, as those details are contained within the individual program announcements for each CDMRP funding opportunity.
