About this file
This document is an introductory instruction set for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) funding opportunity application process. It establishes the relationship between two key documents: the General Application Instructions (GAI) and the program announcement. The GAI is designed to be read in conjunction with the program announcement and provides detailed guidance on how to prepare and submit applications, while the program announcement itself contains basic information about what to submit.
Applicants are directed to access the GAI through hyperlinks provided in the program announcement and must ensure that the version of the GAI used matches the version specified on the front page of the program announcement to maintain accurate referencing. This document serves as a cover page or orientation material rather than containing substantive application requirements, eligibility criteria, deadlines, funding amounts, or specific programmatic details.
