About this file
This document is an introductory guide explaining the relationship between two key components of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) application process. The General Application Instructions (GAI) are designed to be used alongside a program-specific announcement for any CDMRP funding opportunity. The program announcement provides basic information about what applicants must submit, while the GAI supplies detailed procedural guidance on how to prepare and submit applications.
Applicants must ensure version alignment between documents for accurate referencing—specifically, the GAI version cover page must match the version specified on the front page of the corresponding program announcement. The document directs users to access the GAI through hyperlinks provided within the program announcement. This is a supplementary instructional document rather than a standalone grant opportunity announcement.
